About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at The Extell Group Corporation. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and maintenance of buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects
  • Construction and Maintenance
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
    • Maintain and repair residences and wooden structures in various settings
  • Support and Training
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Language
    • Fluency in English
  • Work Schedule
    • 30 to 40 hours per week
