We are seeking a skilled Formwork Drafter to join our team at Aecon, a leading Canadian infrastructure development company. As a Formwork Drafter, you will play a critical role in the design and preparation of formwork, shoring, and scaffolding for our construction projects.

• Develop and prepare formwork, shoring, and scaffolding engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, and specifications.
• Complete general arrangement, assembly, and fabrication drawings for all formwork/falsework items.
• Design and prepare shoring/reshoring systems for use during construction.
• Collaborate with the BIM team to create digital representations of temporary structures, including formwork, falsework, and scaffolding.
• Develop and prepare design sketches and documentation packages.
• Review and verify design drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and design data.

• Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Civil discipline, with P.Eng or EIT considered an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in formwork drafting.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (AutoCAD – 2D and 3D) software and manual drafting.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple drafting activities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working within a team and taking direction from design engineers.
• Effective time management skills to complete work within required timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills for creating documentation and reports.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
