We are currently seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to support our Residential division. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service within our properties, ensuring they reflect a sense of pride and respect for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed in accordance with Northern Property REIT's Health and Safety standards.
  • Perform drywall repairs, prepare and execute painting tasks, and conduct minor electrical and plumbing work.
  • Address minor plumbing issues, including unclogging toilets, bathtubs, and sinks, as well as replacing faucet cartridges and maintaining heating systems.
  • Assist with minor renovations, including kitchen cabinets, doors, and windows.
  • Repair and replace locks as necessary.
  • Conduct minor electrical repairs, including the maintenance of electrical locks and security systems.
  • Service and maintain kitchen appliances such as stoves and refrigerators.
  • Support suite renovations and other minor upgrades as required.
  • Transport equipment, materials, and supplies as needed.
  • Respond to work orders and emergency situations promptly, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Clear snow from walkways and common areas when necessary.
  • Deliver notices to residents and post relevant information in common areas.
  • Conduct inspections of buildings to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address work orders and emergencies as defined by Northern Property REIT's protocols.
  • Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide resident services and maintain positive relations with residents.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in building maintenance is required.
  • Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check.
  • If operating a company vehicle, an annual driver's abstract and proof of a valid driver's license are necessary.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs with equipment and supplies.

Compensation: $20.40/hour
