We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at VG Meats, a leading meat processing company. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation and Handling: Safely transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
- Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines, and remove filled containers from conveyors.
- Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Work Conditions: Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, and working under pressure.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
- Work Schedule: 35 to 42.5 hours per week.
