Job Title: Sr. Programmer/Analyst

Medavie Blue Cross is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Programmer/Analyst to join our technology team. As a key member of our in-house innovation team, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge digital health solutions that improve healthcare outcomes for Canadians.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for growth and professional development. You will work collaboratively with our team to design, develop, and implement software applications that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of software applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design and implement micro-service architecture and design patterns
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and other software components
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-based technologies
  • Lead, mentor, and guide less experienced developers in best practices

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of product development experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and others
Security Clearance Requirement

In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) prior to your start date.
