About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Colas, a leading provider of construction and maintenance services for transportation infrastructure. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including trucks, coaches, and other specialized vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
Requirements
  • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician license (consideration for 310S or 421A license or apprentice)
  • Valid G license
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season
Preferred Qualifications
  • DZ license, an asset
  • Roadside service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Training
