Job Title: Cloud Native Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Engineer to join our team at MobileComm, Inc. As a key member of our Network Cloud Infrastructure and Services team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and services.

About the Role

As a Cloud Native Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and operating a PaaS based on Kubernetes on premise. You will also be expected to explore new technologies and provide recommendations for their adoption in our cloud-native ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and operate a PaaS based on Kubernetes on premise.
  • Technology exploration with focus on the cloud-native ecosystem evolution.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical teams.
  • Automate all manual tasks using Ansible and similar tools.
  • Scan the industry to ensure technical sharpness and provide recommendation around technology evolution.
  • Build, enhance or find K8S based operator to support our customer by providing self-serve application deployment.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in IT infrastructure, system administration or software development.
  • Real production experience with Kubernetes.
  • Familiar with Python and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of wide range of application required by software to operate and deploy in a K8S cluster.
  • Very familiar with automation/orchestration tool such as Ansible and code management tools (GIT).
  • Good understanding of IT technologies and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Linux or Kubernetes certification.
  • Operator framework knowledge.
  • K8S CNI and CSI knowledge.
  • Basic network understanding.
  • Wireless core and RAN knowledge an asset.
  • Basic skill in OOP programming language.
  • Go programming language experience.
