Production Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Scheduler to join our team at Amico Corporation, a leading manufacturer of Medical Equipment with 9 manufacturing facilities across North America.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a Production Scheduling Plan that meets business objectives and maximizes production efficiency.
- Ensure a smooth workflow of orders from production document release to shipping, focusing on production load, capacity, plant efficiencies, and customer service.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to identify and address capacity constraints.
- Act as a liaison between Production, PM, CSR, Material Handling, and Purchasing departments.
- Anticipate future bottlenecks, extract data, and coordinate with production supervisors to allocate resources during production surges.
- Identify and report capacity and/or material supply problems in advance and convey purchasing requisitions for material procurement.
- Participate in weekly and daily production meetings with the Production Manager and Production supervisors to review and monitor production progress.
- Assist the Production Manager in various continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports on production loads, capacities, demand, etc.
- A combination of experience and relevant training will be considered.
- Diploma in a relevant field (manufacturing/production scheduling/supply chain management) is an asset.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a requirement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work well with others under minimal supervision.
- High level of interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, build teams, and work within/lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and project planning skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills needed for strategic thinking and planning.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, multi-task, and follow up.
