About the Role

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Sector Leaders to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a key member of our advisory team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering high-quality services to public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Actively pursue business development opportunities, including building client relationships, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Engagement Team Leadership: Direct and manage high-performing, cross-functional teams to plan and deliver advisory services across various public sector projects.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and your broader network, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Thought Leadership: Lead the development of thought leadership articles to increase brand and service awareness.
  • Strategic Vision: Foster a growth mindset, promoting innovative solutions and strategies to address client challenges and opportunities.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high quality.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Review key deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards and are aligned with client expectations and relevant guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience: You have demonstrated experience in business development, with a proven track record of leading sales in the public sector, including responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and securing new business.
  • Education: You have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, IT, Finance, Human Resources).
  • Professional Designation: You have a relevant professional designation (e.g., PMP, PROSCI, CIA, CISA, CA/CPA).
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
  • Security Clearance: You have or qualify to obtain Government of Canada security clearance.
