We are seeking a skilled Header Operator to join our team at A New Leaf, a leading provider of innovative products and solutions. As a Header Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency of our heading machines for smooth production runs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up heading machines for optimal performance
  • Operate machines for wire drawing and cutting with precision and accuracy
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing dies and sharpening tools to maintain machine efficiency
  • Conduct thorough machine testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Inspect product quality and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to company policies and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Complete necessary reports and documentation to track progress and performance
  • Support management with assigned tasks and projects to drive business growth and success

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on machine operation and maintenance
  • Forklift certification is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of tool and die making, with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with machine tools and equipment, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes
  • Understanding of SPC and ISO/QS 9000, with the ability to apply quality control principles in a manufacturing setting
