We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Skyluxe Roofing and Sheet Metal. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.
Key Responsibilities- Roofing Installation and Repair: Install built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Single-Ply Roofing Systems: Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
- Roof Maintenance and Repair: Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings, and repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices on roofing techniques and best practices.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects, and plan and coordinate roofing work with other crew members.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and regulations, and reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
This is a permanent, on-the-road job that requires working at heights and in various weather conditions. You will be required to work 30-40 hours per week, and may be required to work overtime during peak periods.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in roofing is preferred.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
