Copcan Civil, a proud member of NorLand Limited, is a recognized leader in civil construction, with operational bases in various regions. Since its inception in 1970, the company has successfully undertaken numerous projects across diverse landscapes, including highways, bridges, underground utilities, demolitions, and marine infrastructure.

We are currently seeking experienced Civil Forepersons, particularly in urban pipe laying and road construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the safety and efficiency of teams on various challenging projects
  • Leading by example: directing tasks while being present with your crew
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to provide clear guidance
  • Keeping accurate daily records of crew and equipment usage, material deliveries, production rates, and site activities
  • Training and fostering the development of team members
  • Collaborating with Superintendents to ensure timely availability of materials and resources
  • Acting as a hands-on foreperson when necessary
  • Maintaining a safe and respectful work environment on job sites
  • Contributing as an effective member of a high-performing team

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading teams on civil projects
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • First aid certification is a plus
  • Physically fit to perform tasks including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as project demands require

Expected wage range: $39.32 – $43.00 per hour, with variations based on relevant experience and qualifications.
