We are looking for a mechanic to support our operations in the Carrot River region of Saskatchewan. Our focus is on horticulture and agriculture, recognized through our well-known brands such as Pro-Mix, C-I-L, Wilson, and Alaskan.

This role is essential as it involves working from our Carrot River facility while also providing mechanical support to our nearby operations as needed. The maintenance of our bog operations is crucial, as it represents the initial phase in the peat production process, allowing our products to be delivered to clients across North America.

Responsibilities include:

executing and managing the repair and preventive maintenance schedule for both harvest and mobile machinery. diagnosing and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, alongside skills in fabrication and welding. offering critical insights while identifying and resolving mechanical issues. making informed recommendations and completing approved work orders within set deadlines. operating harvest machinery as necessary. prioritizing safety daily, ensuring the well-being of yourself and others.

Ideal candidates will possess:

a strong commitment to teamwork and safety. resourcefulness and a solid mechanical aptitude. experience with heavy machinery and adaptability to various weather conditions. a focus on maintaining equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity. the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. availability for overtime as needed. certification as a Red Seal Mechanic.
