Position Overview:
Barminco Mine Services Canada Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Scoop Operator to contribute to our underground operations at Hemlo. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our mining processes.

Work Schedule:
• 14 days on / 14 days off
• Shifts include both day and night rotations.
• This position allows for a ''drive in/drive out'' arrangement for those residing outside the local area.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for their own safety and that of their colleagues while performing the following tasks:
• Mucking development headings and stockpiles (both manual and remote operations)
• Loading trucks with ore or waste materials
• Ensuring all work areas and travel routes are clear of debris and hazards
• Assisting with various mine services as necessary
• Being open to learning new techniques and sharing knowledge with peers.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Proven commitment to safety in the workplace
• Completion of Underground Common Core and specialty modules
• At least 3 years of underground work experience
• Experience with mucking using Atlas Copco, Sandvic, and/or Cat loading units is advantageous
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills and good radio etiquette
• Flexibility to assist with a variety of tasks as needed
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges
• Experience working in a diverse cultural environment.
