About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Amaya Express Inc. as a key member of our meat processing and packaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to precise specifications
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for retail and wholesale customers
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for distribution
  • Remove bones from meat and prepare it for sale
  • Weigh meats for accurate sale and inventory management
  • Cut poultry into parts and clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers to ensure efficient and safe working practices
  • Grind meats to order and prepare special cuts for customers
Work Environment

Our meat processing and packaging plant is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a meat cutting or processing environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and supervise others
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
