About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to join our Registry team at Babylist. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll drive the modernization of our platform, enhancing features such as checklists, wishlists, and product offers to meet the evolving needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the revamp of our user experience, making it simpler and more engaging for parents to manage and organize their registries.
  • Implement a new design system and modernize our codebase to ensure the platform remains intuitive, reliable, and delightful.
  • Elevate the technical skills of your team through mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Critically review technical proposals and guide problem-solving to tackle the right challenges with effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed successfully.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Staff or equivalent senior engineering role.
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails, comfortable tackling complex problems and delivering robust solutions.
  • Passionate about creating user-centric applications.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, impactful projects.
