Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at The North Transportation. This role will involve coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and arranging for maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on company vehicles and equipment
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed to support the team
  • Arrange training for staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure it is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Organize and maintain inventory of company assets
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a transportation-related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
