Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Technician to join our team at 12661063 Canada Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including aerial and underground telephone equipment, trunking systems, and circuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including poles, ladders, and other support structures
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment to meet customer requirements
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize downtime
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless communication
  • Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate work assignments and ensure timely completion
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights and in various locations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
