We are seeking a skilled Gasfitter A to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals in Lethbridge, AB.
About the Role:
As a Gasfitter A, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining gas lines and gas equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain gas lines and gas equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems on customers' job sites, in the shop, or over the phone.
- Test, replace, or certify defective equipment.
- Perform annual inspections, service, and repairs on construction heaters.
- Advise clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units.
- Accurately document all service and repair information.
- Complete daily hazard assessments and circle checks.
- Deliver and pick up small equipment as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety Policies.
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Gas Fitter with 'A' ticket.
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience, preferably with temporary heaters.
- Considerable knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair heating equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and practices regarding LP/NG use, equipment servicing, permitting, and installation.
- Valid class 5 driver's license and satisfactory abstract.
- Complete set of tools or in the process of acquiring one.
- Willingness to work overtime and on-call rotation.
- Flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
