About the Role

As a Network Operations Coordinator at Porter Airlines, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations across our entire network. Reporting to the Supervisor, System Operations Control Centre, you'll collaborate closely with various departments, including Airports and external agencies, to coordinate operational activities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational activities throughout Porter's network and assist in contingency and recovery planning during major irregular operations (IROPs).
  • Monitor passenger connections and work with the Duty Officer to anticipate potential misconnections.
  • Maintain regular communication with outstations, guiding them to take proactive measures to minimize misconnecting passengers.
  • Facilitate the swift activation of the Emergency Response Plan, non-emergency abnormal incident response, and other critical communications through the Everbridge Mass Notification system.
  • Provide procedural guidance and technical support to front-line agents, coordinating system outage responses and transitions to manual or backup procedures.
  • Ensure passengers receive timely notifications about flight disruptions and cancellations through Porter's passenger reprotection application.
  • Process delay reports and participate in the delay code audit and reconciliation process.
  • Handle APIS/API reconciliation and communication with the US Department of Homeland Security, CBP, and CBSA.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving DHS violations and API data quality issues to prevent significant fines for the company.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, as well as Transport Canada regulations and those of other domestic and international regulatory agencies.
  • Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations; understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in airline operations or a supervisory role within a related industry.
  • A strong commitment to safety with excellent written and oral communication skills, and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, solve problems, and drive positive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A clear attendance record, reliable on-time reporting for work, and flexibility to work rotating morning and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identification Card (Security Clearance).
