Join Bridgemans Services Group as a Second Engineer and play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and operation of our floatel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of all machinery and equipment on the floatel, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
• Machinery Operation: Operate and monitor the performance of the floatel's machinery and systems, including propulsion, power generation, HVAC, plumbing, and other auxiliary systems, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow and enforce all safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards or equipment deficiencies, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize the risk of equipment failures.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Engineer and other engineering staff to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations, assisting in managing and supervising the engineering team, and collaborating with other departments to address equipment-related issues and ensure guest satisfaction.

• STCW Reg. III/2, second engineer officer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3,000 kW propulsion power or more
• Must have sailed as 2nd Engineer on ships of 3000 gross tonnage or more
• STCW Reg. VI/2 competence in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue
• SOLAS Ch III, Evacuation Slide training
• STCW Reg. VI/3 advanced fire fighting
• STCW Reg. VI/4, competence in medical first aid
• STCW Reg. VI/6 security-related training and instruction for all seafarers
• STCW Crisis management and human behaviour training
• STCW Crowd management training
• STCW Special training for Ro/Ro passengers ships
• 3-5 years of sea service experience on Ro-Ro or passenger ship as 2nd Engineer/ 3rd
• Excellent comprehension and command of the English language; (written & verbal)
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Ability to clear a drug and alcohol test prior to hiring and potential random tests throughout employment with prior notice

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
