We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Area Supply Attendant to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing returns, and delivering medical supplies to departments throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Count, record, and enter the status of departmental medical/surgical supplies using our computer system and/or handheld computer.
- Process returns and perform various return functions as per established procedures.
- Deliver and restock/put away medical/surgical supplies to departments following established quotas.
- Complete routine records by performing duties such as completing established documentation for direct (non-stock) supplies previously received in the system; deliver to appropriate department.
- Enter requested requisitions into the computer as required.
- Clean carts, shelves, and rotate stock in stores and assigned areas.
- Maintain the store room in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform routine clerical duties such as answering the phone, filing, and entering, editing, and retrieving data from the computer system.
- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts by counting items in inventory as required.
- Grade 10 plus six (6) months' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
