We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Derek Mitchell Farms Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • No formal education or certification is required, but relevant experience is an asset.
  • Work Site Environment
    • Our farm specializes in hay farming, providing a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Work Setting
    • Our farm is located in a rural area, offering a peaceful and scenic work environment.
  • Tasks and Duties
    • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
    • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
    • Harvest crops at the right time to maximize quality and quantity.
    • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
    • Perform general farm duties, including ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Experience with haying equipment is an asset, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Work Terms and Conditions
    • This is a permanent position, offering stability and security for the right candidate.
    • The work language is English, and the work hours are 40 to 60 hours per week.
