The Role

As a Retail Space Optimization Specialist at Analyticsmart, you will be tasked with overseeing various space planning and planogram projects across multiple categories to facilitate effective growth. This pivotal role demands a comprehensive understanding of merchandising and retail sales principles. You will also coordinate and manage all activities related to space management across categories.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the Space Planning process with clients to ensure adherence to deadlines, standards, and accuracy.
  • Developing, refining, and managing planograms and merchandising best practices for our clients' sales and marketing teams.
  • Utilizing Relex software for all merchandising requirements, including planogram creation and management.
  • Collaborating with the client planning team to provide space insights that inform merchandising strategies, including new department and store concepts.
  • Supporting planning initiatives through various analyses, such as financials, capacity assessments, and store listings.
  • Gathering all necessary information to facilitate planogram production.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of assigned categories.
  • Ensuring timely and precise reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, in addition to ad hoc requests.
  • Measuring and auditing key activities, tracking progress, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating all necessary planograms using Space Planning Software to meet account requests.
  • Publishing planograms in alignment with the account planogram calendar.
  • Documenting category reviews and collecting supporting documentation.
  • Analyzing planogram financial sales to support and monitor revisions.
  • Working collaboratively to assist team members in achieving daily production goals.
  • Managing account planograms to facilitate product speed to market and category shelving initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience in space planning or planogram management.
  • Experience in Category Management.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Proficient in using Relex software for merchandising planning and planogram development.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and analytics software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong presentation and research skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French is a plus.
