Job Title: Construction Helper

Join Alberta Ltd. as a Construction Helper and contribute to the success of our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pave and rake asphalt to meet project requirements.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, following safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
Requirements:
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Will train, with opportunities for growth and development.
  • Green job, with duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Permanent employment, with 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
