Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Pet Product Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with pet specialty stores within a designated territory in Southwestern Ontario. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth by providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and strategic account management.

Essential Functions
  • Sales & Account Management: Oversee an established network of pet retail accounts within your assigned territory. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales coverage plan to maximize reach and engagement with potential customers.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at pet specialty stores. Provide expert product knowledge and guidance to assist them in meeting their business objectives.
  • Sales Execution & Reporting: Generate sales leads, conduct effective presentations, and close deals. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including expense reports and call logs, to ensure efficient reporting and performance tracking.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment to achieve regional sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging product developments. Share valuable insights with management to enhance our competitive position.
Job Qualifications
  • Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales within the pet industry or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with customers quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
