Job Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Delmar International Inc.

Job Summary:

The Ocean Freight Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and supplies between departments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and report preparation
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key metrics and trends
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics or supply chain management
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in database software, electronic mail, and spreadsheet applications
