Job Title: Family Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and be able to handle a wide range of family law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage family law files independently
  • Handle separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to become part of the community served
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership
Compensation
  • Base salary depending on the year of call
