About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Centreline Operator-Painter to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our provincial road network.
Key Responsibilities
- Paint highway road lines in the Province of Nova Scotia, including setting up, maintaining, and cleaning equipment
- Operate paint pump for loading material and paint equipment for painting highway road
- Inspect work completed for quality and conformance
- Assist with the maintenance and repairs of the truck
Requirements
- Grade 12 completion and one (1) year of construction experience and training
- Prior highway work experience and training in the use and maintenance of equipment and Traffic Control experience
- Strong customer service focus, keen eye for attention, and ability to perform within a team
- Well-versed in Department and Industry Occupational Health & Safety rules and regulations
Working Conditions
The Centreline Operator-Painter will work outdoors with continuing exposure to weather, noise, and road traffic. The position involves extensive travel throughout the province and being away from home for stretches of five days in a row.
