Job Summary

Procor Repair Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Railcar Repair Specialist to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our repair network, you will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and repairing railcars, their components, and other items to facilitate railcar repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cutting, fitting, and repair of railcars, their components, and other items as necessary.
  • Aid other team members as necessary to facilitate railcar repair and productivity.
  • Perform all necessary AAR repairs to railcars, including cutting, straightening, cleaning, blasting, and car repair.
  • Perform and document quality control checks as required by Company quality standards.
  • Perform basic P.M. checks on used equipment.
  • Comply with company and regulatory safety and environmental standards.
  • Meet production schedules.
  • Wear and utilize all necessary safety equipment in accordance with EHS instruction and requirements.
Requirements
  • 1+ months experience using Mig Welding (FCAW).
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools for the position.
  • Ability to read and understand written work orders and material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to pass an in-house weld test.
  • Ability to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Ability to climb, stoop, and bend repeatedly, carry hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and heights of 15 feet.
  • Ability to pass company physical, including pulmonary function, chest, and back x-rays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in Canada.
  • Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, reference verification, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience with railcar construction or general steel work.
  • Pre-Employment Welding Course.
  • Blueprint reading.
