Position Overview: The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for conducting high-quality ultrasound examinations for pediatric, obstetric, and gynecological patients under the supervision of a Radiologist. This role includes participating in the training of fellow Sonographers, Students, and Residents as necessary. The incumbent is expected to provide diagnostic-quality images in accordance with established protocols, engage in discussions regarding examinations with Radiologists utilizing PACS, and maintain accurate patient records.
Work Schedule: 7.5 hour shifts; Monday to Friday, with variable shifts.
Qualifications:
- Registered with Sonography Canada, with a minimum of Ob/Gyn and Abdomen certification.
- Registered or eligible for registration with NSCMIRTP.
- Must maintain registry status by completing the required continuing medical education credits (CME) every three years.
- Registry in Neurosonography is preferred.
- Experience in obstetrics is advantageous.
- Experience in pediatrics and neurosonography is preferred.
- Preceptor experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Competency in additional languages is an asset, with French being preferred.
