Your Responsibilities

Your role will involve:
As a member of the School of Trades and reporting to the Academic Chair of Transportation Trades, the educator will be responsible for developing and preparing instructional materials and resources; fostering and managing a positive learning atmosphere; teaching and assessing students; cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; along with other related responsibilities.
Instructional areas may encompass, but are not limited to:
Automotive Service Technician Bricklaying Carpentry Electrician Industrial Mechanic Machinist Plumbing Skilled Trade Techniques Truck and Transport WeldingYou should be prepared to incorporate technology and active learning strategies into your teaching methods.
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid Red Seal license and relevant work experience. Highly adaptable with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building effective relationships throughout the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Proven problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and creativity. Self-driven, service-oriented, and results-focused. Capacity to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a post-secondary educational setting. Candidates must clearly illustrate how they meet these qualifications in their resumes. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered equivalent. Depending on the competition response, minimum qualifications may be adjusted.Desired Core Competencies
