Job Summary

We are seeking a Casual Meal Program Worker to join our team at Fort St. James School. As a key member of our food service team, you will contribute to the daily functions of our Meal Program, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation and serving, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Support students in food preparation and serving, promoting a positive and inclusive dining experience
  • Perform cooking and food preparation tasks using various kitchen equipment
  • Coordinate daily logistics, including ordering groceries and managing inventory
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Current Food Safe Level 1 certificate, or equivalent
  • BC driver's license - Class 2 Full Privileged with air endorsement and an exemplary driving record
  • 6 months of current relevant experience working in a catering/commercial kitchen environment
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
