About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in SAP applications and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams. As the Lead, Applications - SAP, you'll be responsible for coordinating software maintenance and development activities, guiding and influencing IT resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate software maintenance and development activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of SAP applications
- Guide and influence IT resources to achieve business objectives and drive process improvements
- Oversee project lifecycles and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical specification documents, functional specification documents, and impact analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and solution buy-in
- Lead discussions with business stakeholders to ensure technical implementation of features aligns with business objectives
- Prepare software packages for deployment and ensure adherence to standard deployment policies
- Act as the point of contact for major upgrades and plan testing and change in functionality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7-10+ years of progressive work experience in software development, with a focus on SAP applications
- 3-5+ years of experience as an Applications or Team lead, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience in developing RICEFWs and good knowledge of FICO configurations
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with business users and stakeholders
- Experience working with North American business/organizations (CAN/US/Mexico)
- Excellent organization, logic, and analytical skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, propose effective solutions, and drive projects to successful completion
- Skilled at influencing others who do not report directly to them
- Proven ability to apply agile concepts and methodology to ensure technology solutions are flexible to meet changing business needs
- Knowledge of various IT development practices and tools
