Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Executing and overseeing assurance and non-assurance engagements for a diverse client base
  • Leading consulting projects and identifying opportunities for client service enhancement
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff members
  • Preparing and reviewing comprehensive financial statements
  • Completing corporate and personal income tax filings
  • Identifying and addressing engagement-related challenges
  • Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Contributing to practice and professional development initiatives
  • Engaging in business development activities
  • Proactively following up with clients to strengthen relationships
  • Responding effectively to inquiries and keeping the team informed of potential issues

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Accounting or Business
  • Successful completion of the CFE or progress towards a CPA designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public practice
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a desire for continuous learning
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with Caseware, Profile, Sage 300 (ACCPAC), Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), and QuickBooks is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding client service skills with a keen understanding of client needs
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of service and professional excellence
