Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all tasks and responsibilities associated with the role of a PMT.
  • Program, install, commission, and maintain flow computers, RTUs, communication devices, transmitters, AMR, and standalone alarm systems.
  • Install instrumentation cabling and field junction boxes.
  • Develop and implement control strategies for pneumatic and electronic systems at stations.
  • Design and execute remote automation solutions.
  • Install and commission new equipment in regulatory and metering stations.
  • Set up and commission new line heaters and their controls.
  • Conduct combustion analysis and tune line heater burners.
  • Test pneumatic and electronic closure systems for line break valves.
  • Manage electronic work and maintain management systems.
  • Plan and execute projects effectively.
  • Provide oversight for others from a measurement and controls perspective.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and provide 24-hour coverage on a rotational basis.
  • Work independently and complete company competency assessments.
Qualifications:
  • Instrumentation Technologist with a two-year diploma in Instrumentation, or a Journeyman "Red Seal" Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic with relevant experience in natural gas.
  • For outside hires without natural gas experience, passing internal competency for PMCT after one year is required for progression.
Additional Information:
  • This position may require standby and on-call duties based on operational needs.
  • Overtime may be necessary depending on operational demands.
  • Travel and out-of-town work may be required.
  • Adherence to residency requirements is essential.
