Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Reporting to the Project Management Director - Civil Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of project management, from initial planning and budgeting to on-site supervision and final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of tender documents, quotes, and plans to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
  • Participate in site visits and opening meetings to gather essential information and establish clear communication channels with stakeholders.
  • Meticulously review plans to determine quantities and materials required for each project phase.
  • Analyze direct and indirect costs associated with the project, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment.
  • Propose alternative solutions to enhance project efficiency or address unforeseen challenges, always adhering to client specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive formal offers that accurately reflect project scope, costs, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed work schedules and monitor progress against established milestones, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Generate accurate invoices for clients, adhering to internal policies and customer requirements.
  • Produce regular reports on billing, work progress, and project costs to provide transparent updates to stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, controls, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings and plans.
