About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at Oceans Flooring Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Flooring Sites
    • Inspect surfaces to be covered to ensure they are clean and free of debris
    • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate installation
  • Install Flooring Materials
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
    • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct Pre-Installation Tests
    • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests to ensure the flooring material is suitable for installation
  • Estimate and Order Materials
    • Estimate costs and materials required for each installation
    • Order materials and equipment as needed
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings
    • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare the surface for new flooring
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Physical Demands
    • Physically demanding work environment
    • Handling heavy loads
    • Bending, crouching, kneeling

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at various locations. You will be required to travel to different job sites and work in a variety of environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
