About the Role

The Student Services Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the academic success and career development of students at Maricopa Community Colleges. This position is responsible for conducting student reception and intake, assessing students' needs, and providing information on services and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and career advisement to new, continuing, and prospective students
  • Assess students' needs and provide information on services and processes
  • Manage a wide variety of information sources to maintain current knowledge of advising policies
  • Facilitate group advising, including presentation of information and registration

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
