Materials Quality Assurance Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with contractors to confirm inspection points and interruptions outlined in the quality assurance plan;
- Analyze project documentation and specifications to ensure material compliance and proper installation;
- Execute material testing on-site (including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt mixtures, etc.) in accordance with relevant standards and protocols;
- Generate observation and testing reports to maintain project quality assurance documentation;
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to specified technical requirements;
- Collect samples of aggregates, concrete, and asphalt mixtures;
- Conduct maintenance and calibration of testing equipment;
- Oversee material control operations under your guidance;
- Offer pertinent recommendations to enhance work quality and client satisfaction;
- Compile construction logs and daily activity reports;
- Support the project manager and quality manager in monitoring project progress;
- Undertake any additional specific tasks related to the technician's responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering (or AEC in civil engineering with relevant experience);
- At least 3 years of pertinent experience in soil and material quality assurance;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction or renovation of electrical substations;
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
- ASP Construction card;
- ACI certification is a plus;
- Team-oriented individual capable of thriving in a demanding environment.
