Allocation Specialist

Position Overview:

The Allocation Specialist plays a vital role within the replenishment division, tasked with overseeing the allocation of numerous products to Dollarama outlets throughout Canada. This position is essential for maintaining stock levels in warehouses and tracking the distribution status of all items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust system-generated allocations for submission to warehouses and the distribution hub;
  • Generate purchase orders based on allocation quantities;
  • Revise purchase orders in accordance with supplier delivery capabilities;
  • Allocate suitable quantities of specific product categories to stores based on seasonal sales trends;
  • Confirm stock availability in the system to ensure accurate distribution;
  • Manage delivery setbacks and order reductions with suppliers, and expedite the delivery of out-of-stock items;
  • Analyze reports and collaborate with various departments (shipping, receiving, etc.) to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field;
  • One to two years of experience in a comparable position;
  • Experience in the retail sector is preferred;
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities;
  • Capacity to manage multiple requests under tight deadlines;
  • Familiarity with SAP is an asset.
