Tobacco Packer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tobacco Packer to join our team at Tricanna Industries Inc. as a key member of our production team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate quantities and quality control.
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors, handling heavy loads with care and safety.
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, adhering to quality standards and production targets.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, collaborating with process control and machine operators to optimize production workflows.
  • Conduct regular checks on products and packaging for basic quality defects, reporting any issues to the production team.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, and working under pressure.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and team player attitude.
  • Experience an asset, with a permanent position and 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
