About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited. As an Industrial Cleaning Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Industrial Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, and other cleaning equipment to remove debris, dirt, and other refuse from the production floor.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure that all areas of the production floor are clean and free of hazards, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Perform Routine Cleaning Tasks: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and perform other routine cleaning tasks as required.
  • Work with Minimal Supervision: Work independently with minimal supervision, using your initiative and judgment to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Certifications: Possession of a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification, and Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel, with a maximum weight handling capacity of 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
