Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00PM to 7:00PM*
About the Role:
This part-time supervisor position assists and reviews logistics dispatch activity to ensure timely and efficient service. The position assists with dispatch planning and ensures service, safety, and cost goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch Operations: Supervise dispatch operations and coordinate with others to ensure dispatch plans are executed efficiently, adequate staffing is provided, and equipment levels are sufficient for transportation needs.
- Load Planning: Oversee load/tractor planning and assignments, monitor load movement, and track the condition of equipment.
- Yard Operations: Coordinate drivers with load volume, confirm trailer inventory, and ensure trailers are in the correct locations and loaded or empty as planned.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Review driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance and conduct hazardous materials audits.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
- Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kg unassisted
- Availability: Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
