Produits forestiers Résolu is seeking a highly skilled Forest Analyst to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a key member of our forestry management team, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and planning to support our sustainable forest management practices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct advanced GIS analysis and modeling to inform forest management decisions
- Develop and maintain forest estate models to optimize wood supply and forest management
- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on forest modeling tools and techniques
- Collaborate with our forestry team to develop and implement forest management plans
- Conduct tactical optimization modeling to support annual harvest and wood flow planning
- Prepare and review forest management plan documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in forest management
- 3-5 years of experience in forest management planning
- Advanced degree in Forestry or related field
- Expert knowledge of GIS and forest modeling tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
