Job Title: Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator to join our team at Ontario Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of injection moulding machine operators, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our moulding machines, and maintaining high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity.
  • Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products, following formulation cards to mix resin batches for the injection moulding process.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of materials and supplies.
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to optimize production and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, and attention to detail.
  • Dependability, reliability, and team player skills.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
