About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at Boem Berry Farm as a Horticulturist Helper. As a key member of our greenhouse team, you will be responsible for assisting in the cultivation and maintenance of our crops, including vegetables and greenhouse tomatoes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse and surrounding areas to ensure a healthy and productive environment for our crops.
  • Assist in the planting, cultivation, and irrigation of crops, including vegetables and greenhouse tomatoes.
  • Monitor and report any signs of insect or disease damage to ensure the health and quality of our crops.
  • Perform hand harvesting of vegetables and other crops as required.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments as necessary to promote healthy crop growth.
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a hot environment.
  • Reliability and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
Work Environment

Our greenhouse is located in a rural area, and the work environment is non-smoking. We require our team members to have their own transportation to and from work.
