Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Blue Rock Transport is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Experience: Have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in long-haul trucking.
  • Language: Be fluent in English.
  • Work Hours: Be available to work 40 to 60 hours per week.
