Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at SRA Wasaga Beach Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
    • Handle and store food and cleaning products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform other physical tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position.
  • 30-40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
