We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Supply Technician to join our team at NL Health Services. As a Sterile Supply Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control in our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform decontamination, high-level disinfection, sterilization, reassembly, and function testing of flexible endoscopes, reusable medical devices, equipment, and surgical instruments.
- Conduct quality testing to validate equipment function and document results.
- Assemble and pack instruments and trays, and participate in the evaluation and trial of medical devices.
- Work in accordance with the principles of Infection Prevention and Control, safety standards, Eastern Health policies, and Manufacturer's instructions for use.
- Graduation from High school or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Technician/Medical Device Reprocessing program from a recognized/approved college within the last five years.
- Current Certification as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT) by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is an asset.
- A satisfactory record of work performance.
